Job description

Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Location: Tri- Cities, WA including surrounding areas

Company Overview: Join Thorn Construction Group, a fast-growing construction company in Eastern Washing and Northern Oregon. At Thorn Construction Group, we specialize in delivering high quality commercial, industrial, and custom-building solutions with a commitment to precision and excellence.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent with expertise in supervision and knowledge in commercial and industrial building construction. The ideal candidate is ready to grow our team and has strong work capabilities and integrity. Additionally, the team member must be capable of managing multiple projects from conception, on-time completion, within scope, to our exacting standards and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily field reports, documenting and tracking progress onsite.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans and timelines.
  • Oversee project execution, monitor progress, and adjust plans to ensure project delivery meets quality standards and stays within budget.
  • Conduct daily site visits to manage and assess project performance, ensure safety compliance, and address any issues.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and keep them informed of project status.
  • Provide schedule feedback and coordination with Project Manager and effectively communicate critical path with subcontractors.
  • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and team members to ensure project objectives are clear and met.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and maintain company standards of excellence and safety.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, building codes, and construction best practices.
  • Provide submittal & RFI review assistance as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supervision, with a focus on design-build projects in commercial and industrial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and building codes.
  • Proficient in software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong diligence and mindfulness.
  • OSHA , Telehandler, Forklift, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift Certifications a plus.

Compensation Package:

  • Bi-Weekly pay

Schedule:

  • 8-10 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday, weekend work as needed.

  • Tri-Cities, WA, Northern Oregon, and the Columbia Basin (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Kennewick, WA 99337: Relocate before starting work (Required)
